Clinical information

Persistent swelling on the forehead after a cold a few months ago.

15 year old boy, Persistent swelling on the forehead after a cold a few months ago.

Inhomogeneous mass with a bony defect on the forehead above the right eye.

There is a thinning of the underlying bone with a defect.

The lesion shows mainly peripheral vascularity that is in continuation with the bony defect.

Cineloop shows the vascularity of the lesion with e flow.

CT image showing a frontal sinusitis and soft tissue swelling anterior of the right frontal sinus.

CT image at a higher level showing thinning of the anterior wall of the right frontal sinus.

CT image at a higher level showing thinning of the anterior wall of the right frontal sinus and the bony defect.

Conclusion

Diagnosis: Frontal sinusitis with perforation to the soft tissues of the forehead. The patient was surgically treated without complications.
