Conclusion

Ultrasound is not the method of choice to examine the stomach, but this doesn't mean that stomach abnormalities can sometimes be picked up with ultrasound. Both rounded mass lesion are related to the stomach but are of a different nature one a polypoid stomach carcinoma and the other a GIST.
